Wow, wicked looking scorpion. I've always heard tattoos on bony areas hurt a bit more... Is this true for skull/head tats? None of mine have hurt anymore than the others, but I am also a fluffy gal.  Wink

I've had so much fun looking through everybody's tattoos! I've been wanting a tattoo for a while now and last weekend I finally took the plunge. It's nothing earth-shattering but I love it. I'm really drawn to birds and I love the song Black Bird by the Beatles. Each bird also represents a member of my family. I'd love to know what you guys think!

Rib tattoos hurt. Ask Lo{ve}.

Yes, they do.
I have one (only an outline for the moment) that goes from my hip to my armpit, and it took about 3 hours to do.  The tattoo artist said I was (and I quote) "shaking like a rape victim" the whole time (the running joke is, how did he know what a shaking rape victim looks like? lol  but he's a friend of a friend, so it didn't creep me out...much....lol).
But yeah.
I have one on the back of my neck, and that one hardly hurt at all (it's above the part of your back that hurts really bad, luckily).
But the ribs....oi.

If you really love and adore the design, it's worth it, but it DEFINITELY isn't fun.

[EDIT]
Oh, actually--I posted my tattoos earlier in this thread! haha

i have seen large men reduced to small, wimpering blobs from skull tats.  imho, skulls, ribs, stomache, hands, and feet are usually the worst, not necessarily in that order.  hands and feet aren't terrible unless you get down by the knuckle area.

Love it all! DH is a huge gamer geek, I'm more of a craft geek, but I speak his language too.
