Nostrum, i can't believe you got a real live dead babelfish!  (although how it got from the ear down to the chest i am not sure, so maybe it's another species?)

last semester in SPA 201 i had my students write about "if you had a cabinet of curiosities, what would you have in it?" in order to use the conditional tense, so i have been thinking about those a lot lately...

She did an unbelievable job. She captured exactly what I'm like!
I think I'm the most in love with the Brain plaque, but mainly because I'm currently obsessed with things to hang on my walls.
Dylan's normally so-so on craft swaps, but he was all googly-eyed at all the stuff I got. I think he's jealous. Tongue

Heh heh, I didn't think about babelfish when I was making the label for the specimen, if I had, I might have had it discovered in the brain.  My initial thought was to go with removed from brain, but it just seemed a bit too big.

And poor old Frank, I knew I should have sewed his pants legs closed.  I hope my daughter doesn't see the pic, she doesn't know I stole one of her 57 million Barbies for the purpose.

Hehe. I love Frank's feet. It adds character.  Tongue
You can't actually see them unless you flip him on his head, so it's really not obvious!

Dyl and I hypothesised that maybe because it was found post-mortem, the babelfish moved down into the chest cavity for some reason. Maybe it's how they reproduce? By planting eggs in a body, and the hatchlings feed off the host!

My god, I am in love with that Steampunk flash drive! And the note in the ring is so fantastic.

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!

This gallery rocks! I love the Mario perler beads, the Tetris magnets, and the note with the steampunk ring reminds me of Myst. Obviously, I am the video game variety of geek, although it is not my only geeky claim to fame.

The bubble chamber tote is nifty... I had to look up what a bubble chamber was, though! Wink

PS - Frank scares me.

Yeah that flash drive is full of mega awesome.  And it has given me an idea for another swap I am doing.

Here is my package of video game goodness (with one tribute to tabletop RPGs). It is such an amazing package. I love everything.

Katamari Ball

Both kiddos like the ball, but I think my son won that battle.

FireFlower Hat

The eye patch decided it. This one was my daughters. She put it on and didn't take it off until bed time.

Mushroom Hat

This one became my son's. It's hard to keep hats on his head, but when he wears them he is so stinking cute.

Invincibilty Star Blanket

My son didn't stand a chance. My daughter is the blanket Queen and she immediatly claimed it. She even took it to bed with her (though I think my son may try stealing it).

And more me, Dice jewelry.

Thanks again we love it all.
