I thought of another awesome metal documentary too--Heavy Metal Parking Lot.  It's just a bunch of interviews of folks in the parking lot before a Judas Priest concert in 1986, and it's amazing.

They used to show clips on VH1!.! I distinctly remember one woman talking about how sexy Rob Halford is hahahahaha....someone did "Heavy Metal Parking Lot 2000" but I didn't get to watch it all the way through because it kept crapping out on my player...

Metal shows are absolutely one of the top places to people watch...one of my favorite pastimes...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she said she wanted to "jump his bones", aaah Rob Halford, what a heartbreaker.  The newer one might be the same guys that made this one.  On the DVD that bf bought there are some special features with Star Wars Parking Lot (I think for Episode I), and Harry Potter Parking Lot at a JK Rowling book signing.  They also hunted down a lot of the kids they interviewed for the original to see how they are doing as adults.  It's pretty hilarious, some of them are exactly the same, and some of them are totally embarrassed that their awkward teen metal phase is permanently captured on tape for all to see.

Oh, man, metal documentaries. Has anyone else seen "Decline of Western Civilization (Part 1)"? It makes fun of the metal/hair metal bands quite a bit, but I still love it. It's all interviews of the bands, and some of it's hilarious, other parts are kind of sad - like the bands that you've never, ever heard of who are really certain that they're gonna be huge. But it includes Ozzy making breakfast and Gene Simmons in bed with three groupies.

I am so excited for this swap. I keep thinking of bands I forgot, or stuff I would love to have. I told a friend the other day that I want a totally metal tea cozy.

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!

"Before we begin, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you."

We've seen a bunch of clips on Youtube, but last time I checked it wasn't yet available on DVD, but they were working on it (I should check again).  BF and one of his friends were going to name their band Chris Holmes Pool Party for the interview with him where he's totally blitzed in the pool while his mom sits in a lawn chair beside.  Good stuff.  I really want to see the new Anvil movie that's coming out (or is already out?), but it kind of looks like it might be a little bit sad too.
