So I did this one for a friend, she does a lot of work with Basset Hound Rescue. Her coffee shop has a lot of Basset Hound related things as well and I thought she might like it for her store. I really like this one, I put it on my new business cards. Grin

Feedback is always appreciated  Wink

Thanks for looking Kiss

I adore basset hounds, and have owned many through the years. You totally captured their personality, especially in the eyes (and the long droopy ears, of course!)

Thank you so much jj83! I was wondering if it held up to a real life basset, I was worried I went a little too light on the coloring.

I have to agree also, the eyes are so beautiful and true to how they really look! You did a wonderful job on it, congrats!

That is a gorgeous portrait! The eyes, as mentioned, are very realistic, and I'm always jealous of people who can accurately depict fur.

You are quite talented, at first I wasn't sure if it was a real picture or a painted one.  Shocked  I wish I could afford to hire you to paint my big fat kitty. lol

Great job

I love this. I adore basset hounds and this is just fantastic. I had one for many many years and I miss him a lot. Truly an amazing breed.

I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious.

Thank you so much for all your feedback, I have to admit I was a little worried with this one. Wink
