I did my first thing with an English paper pieced top, and I'm hooked!  This is for the Charity Unswap (see the link in my signature below-- it's not too late to join) for the silent auction for the Portland Women's Crisis Line.  The whole thing is about 34" point to point, so hopefully a good size for a baby quilt/blankie, and there are 469 little 1.5" hexagons.  Hand pieced, and then machine quilted.

Thanks for looking, y'all!  I love this one and can't wait to attack some tumbling blocks next.  Any thoughts on how I can get better are, of course, appreciated muchly!

Beautiful.  I love this!  I'm a bit of a sucker for hexagons.  I'll have to try this.

Holy cheese sticks! I don't normally comment but this project brought me out of hiding again.  You handpieced all those hexs???  You must be sooo patient!

I'm totally in love with this and in awe.  I am also completely convinced I will never have the patience/time/mental capabilities to make one of these.  You became my sewing hero with this line: "there are 469 little 1.5" hexagons"!  Amazing!

This is a beautiful work of art.  Thanks for sharing it.  Smiley

I am in awe of your hand piecing!  It looks gorgeous.  I hope whoever ends up with it appreciates all of your hard work.

I so appreciate all the work that went into this.  And, although I am normally not that much of a purple person, I love this!
