How's this for the easiest recipe ever?

Peel.
Mash.

I made a fresh batch for him today and figured I would freeze the rest for the remainder of the week.  Well, I totally neglected to realize that since our freezer has an ice maker, we don't even own "traditional" ice cube trays.  All we have are these novelty trays that we use for cocktails in the summer. Cheesy

So instead of having nice 1-ounce cubes, he now has these little 1/2-ounce flower avocado cubes. Cheesy  Needless to say, I'm heading to the dollar store to buy some trays tomorrow because I have lots of baby food to make in his future!  Today was his "first meal" -- so exciting! Smiley

We plan to make fresh at home from our family's garden and the local farmer's market.  It's so easy, delicious and it's the same stuff me and mr.sweets eat.

I can't imagine him pooping more than he already does. Cheesy  He was never one of the baby's that started pooping less around four months.  He still poops 2 - 3 times a day, argh!

MmMmm... *I* like it with cottage cheese!

He made quite a few funny faces along the way, but it turned out good in the end.  Here's a short video of of the food "in action" http://s390.photobucket.com/albums/oo341/camdenblake/videos/?action=view&current=09MAY18firstavocado.flv

Have you made other foods?  We're thinking squash next, but not entirely decided yet.

When my son was old enough for baby food, everything we ate went into the blender for the baby.  He tried everything.  We had carrots, butternut squash, lima beans, peas, peaches, pears, applesauce, and we even tried beets but that turned out not so good.  He wouldn't eat it.

I can't believe Camden is eating people food already.
