it looks really good! im inspired to make something like yours.. i think i'll make mine a little longer into a dress!

thats a fabulous idea!! Just make the waist band right under the bust a bit longer, and make the flowy shirt part really long!

alright, i was so inspired by this, i decided to make it! I've been down in my hobbit hole of my basement sewing room ALL DAY making it lol
couple of things i found though, 1) if your putting a bias tape on your cups, there's no need to sew them right sides together and flip them inside out, just sew them wrong sides together and trim the seam if needed, and 2) if you're sewing the waist band to the bottom flowy part of your shirt, again there's no need to turn it inside out, the seams will be hidden in your shirt...this will cut down on the bulk of the seams. (i'm not saying you were wrong, it's just a different way of doing things =P)
i'll be sure to post the results when im done!

Really? could've fooled me!! you did such an excellent job, especially with making the top fit you right! (that's the hardest thing for me to do...it always comes out too big or too small for me ;P)

I LOVE IT! TMLGirl I am a huge Leafs fan! I have that exact same shirt. Did you get it at one of the home games?

This is such a great idea and a really helpful tutorial! I seem to get ill-fitting shirts as gifts and souvenirs all the time and I can't help but feel bad when I don't wear them. This will be the perfect way to update and get some real use out of them.

But, I feel I should leave a disclaimer: I'm a born & bred Penguins fan. It's ok though, when I went to the Pens v. Leafs game this year, you beat us pretty soundly, so no hard feelings, right?
