We're getting a Great Dane puppy in a couple weeks and I wanted to get a head start on making her some sweaters.  I made this one out of two balls Berroco Comfort in Seedling, one ball in Teaberry (less than 50 yards, really).  It's huge and should fit Calypso (that's her name) in adulthood, but if I need to, I plan on taking out the center (belly) seam and adding a matching, knitted insert.

Oh yeah, that's my daughter's toy lion.  I didn't want to just lay it flat for the photos, better than nothing (and the biggest doll she has).  And here's Calypso!

Awwwwww Smiley  cute sweater, adorable puppy!  Advice from my BF..  avoid at all costs the speeding happy tail of an adult Great Dane!  His dog Feona used to give him welts on his legs from wagging her tail so fast Wink

Oops, it's a free pattern from Bernat:  http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=2178

It's called the "I-Matey Dog Coat".
