I recently did a personal swap and my partner had mentioned that she has always wanted a shrine to Hestia, the Greek Goddess of the hearth, to hang in her kitchen. I have always love the Greek pantheon and love making shrines, so I had a ball with this.

Shadowboxes are a real bitch to photograph and this was the best photo I managed to get:

The background paper is a grey-ish green with a subtle organic pattern on a black backing paper. I added things to the shrine that are often used as symbols of this particular goddess. A brass key, a tumbled amethyst, a tiny broom (the handle is a toothpick), sage and bay and most importantly, a small firepit that was originally a dollhouse miniature.

I'm really pleased with the way it came out. The box itself is 5" x 7" and about 2" deep and made of wood.

Wonderful job!  Hestia is one of my favorite Goddesses as well, and I think She would be well pleased with this shrine!

Super!
