I found this really awesome ashtray at a thrift store, and even though I don't smoke, I bought it and it sat around my house for a while. I loved the color and the strange shape, so this is what I made with it!





lastly, a view of the ashtray....

Love it! I make totems out of trash, ok, found items too! The wind and animals destroyed most of them, so I'm going to put some back together. What I like to use that's really study is old lamp bases that you take the wiring out of. You can get vintage lamp bases for nothing at the thrift store, and use a plate or an ashtray on top for a unique birdbath!!

haha not hot glue! I used a walmart brand of glue that holds together glass and ceramics. This was my first attempt at anything like this, so the glue is kinda messy. Thanks!
