The pattern for this bag was based on a bag I used to love before it started falling apart. It is big enough to fit in a couple of paperbacks, small enough to be easy to carry and has two elasticated pockets on the sides which are the perfect size for my phone and my bubble mixture.

The bag's fully lined and has a long shoulder strap for carrying. The fabric is from an old pillowcase - it's really soft and lovely to the touch, but obviously it's the least durable thing ever. I think for Comfy Bag version 2.0 I might use pillowcase fabric for the lining and something more sensible for the outsides. This was partly sewn by hand, which is pretty messy given my hand-stitching skills - fortunately my mum's fixed my sewing machine for me now! So that should improve. I'm also going to make the strap wider to make it easier to carry.

I might post a tute when I've fine-tuned the design, if anyone's interested?

There's more backstory about the bag on my blog Smiley

I'm interested! I have a bag shaped like that too, but it's getting old and starting to rip Sad
