Isn't it cute?

The naked mole rat thing is an ongoing joke with a co-worker (see previous post of Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed as a magic picture card) here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299428.msg3415619#msg3415619

Here's the pattern.  Size it so the width is 2".

Cut out on solid lines.  Score and fold the center line.  Slide your book page under the arms.

You can download free cutting files (GSD, DXF) from here: http://extremecards.blogspot.com/2009/05/mole-rat-bookmark.html

If you like this idea, but naked mole rats aren't your thing, I got the idea from this site which has lots of more conventional animal shapes  Wink:

I looked at the thumbnail and said What is That?

This is cute, and I'm not good with scissors, so I'll pass but I love it.

Is that on regular paper or cardstock? Never seen pink cardstock, but that would make it sturdier. Good work.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

Hah! Too funny! I didn't realize Mo Willems had this book- I might have to pick it up, and then make a Naked Mole Rat bookmark to go with it Wink

And, thanks for the link to your magic card- fabulous!

Yes, it's pink cardstock.  I didn't cut mine by hand, either.  I used my Craft Robo.  Zip, zip!  And it's done.

Thanks! I ADORE naked mole rats.

There's a colony at the Washington DC National Zoo I visit often.

That is terribly cute.  Thank you for sharing the pattern.  I might be dressing up some of my craft books with those bookmarks later on in the week!!!
