I think I may become addicted to making these little guys. These are from the new book Crobots: 20 Amigurumi Robots to Make by Nelly Pailloux.

This is Catbot.

Followed by Dogbot.

Babybot, who is featured on the cover of the book.

And last, but not least, Thinker!

I made all of these using leftover scaps of Vanna's Choice and Bernat Satin. They are slightly bigger than they should be because the book suggests using a sport weight yarn and a 2.75 mm hook. I was using about a 3.5 - 3.75mm hook along with my worsted weight wool. Since we don't have any small children in the house, I also cut corners and used a glue gun to attach all the beads instead of sewing them on, as the author recommends.

In short, the book is awesome. All the little robots (err, Crobots) are adorable and the patterns are easy to follow. I regularly review amigurumi books, so if anyone wants to check out my more detailed review of this one, you can see it here: http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2009/05/crobot-roll-calland-review.html

Thanks for looking,
amber

These are so precious, and I love how many of them you made. I'd love to just knock out a whole book of patterns one day. I'm so busy! Who needs a college education, anyway? LOL, just kidding.

I really like how many you have made already!  I just purchased this book last week, so I can't wait to take a crack at one.  I may even start with the Geisha even though they say it is the hardest one. haha  Grin

In my experience "hardest" in the book seemed to refer more to being time consuming than actually being difficult to make.

Thanks for all the great compliments everyone! Especially those of you who favoured Dogbot. My mom thought he looked more like a deer than a dog  Huh
