Hi! I've been working on my water color skills, because I'm making art for my friend's baby room. A lot of it is nature inspired, because Carolyn(the bestie), wanted to do the room in green and white for her baby girl, Piper. She's due in July:)

This was the first I did... just practicing and it's definitely not done yet...

Next I tried to do flowers...

Then I started working focusing more on masking fluid and made this for the baby-

And made this piece to go with it! Although it has no frame just yet... It's small than the other one... about 4x6"

Any critique you have would be fantastic!! I'm a total newb at this (although I paint with acrylics, and have tried oils once...). Got comments? Awesome as well! Let me know what you think!!

The skulls in the clouds of your painting with the ship are ingenious and I LOVE it!

Thank you, ladies:) I did the skulls, moon and sails with masking fluid, like the watercolor stencil pictures. Next time, I think I'll make little trails for the skulls (so they're either rising up, or flying around) and after I take the mask off, go over it a little with water so it bleeds the color in a little bit and it looks smoky:)
