My swap partner has received this already, so I'm going to post it here. We had participated in the crafty detective swap and I saw on her wist, she was wanting this Ribbed Lace Bolero. As you can see, it is a knitted piece and I just do not do knitting. So I looked and looked at the picture and decided I could do a similar piece by crocheting it. No, it wouldn't be the same, but a close enough try.
So this is what I made! (Sorry I don't have anyone in her size here to model it so it, so the computer chair is my model! LOL)

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I don't have a tutorial for it. I just kept looking at the picture of the knitted piece and made this one. I used an N hook and Caron Simply Soft Eco in purple. Smiley

I'm not sure if she liked it as I haven't seen her on. I hope it fit her. I'd love to see pics of it on someone. Smiley

nice! I love that bolero, but since i can't do knitting beyond the "knit" and "purl" stage (very handy for rectangular scarves Tongue) I've only been able to covet it for the past few years. But this proves that you can do it in crochet and achieve a similarly awesome effect! I'll have to take a 2nd look at that pattern and give it a shot sometime. Thanks for the inspiration Smiley
