Okay, I raced right home and looked up Vogue Knitting Winter 2002.

Ahem, Lisa, the pattern is from Fall 2002. It's pattern #27. But the model obviously look more gorgeous than me! LOL.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Actually I do love cables a lot. So when I saw this pattern, everything clicked! I do have another favorite cable sweater at http://vintagefusionhandcrafts.blogspot.com/2004_10_01_vintagefusionhandcrafts_archive.html

Yes, and I knit toys too!

I choose not to agree!

I'm going to write to Vogue for the pattern, so do you suppose you could tell me the name of the designer of this sweater.  Love the cable sweater, too.  And while I'm drooling over your taste in knitwear, what is the source of those two stranded sweaters on your blog?

Hi Lisa,
The design is by Vladimir Teriokhin.  That cable sweater is also from another VK issue -- a cover sweater.
The other 2 stranded patterns that I was contemplating on were from Rowan #25. I did Saffron instead. http://vintagefusionhandcrafts.blogspot.com/2005/03/time-to-party.html

Staying *focused* isn't exactly my forte. I get distracted and have a zillion projects planned for in this and for the next lifetimes! LOL

Thanks for the compliments.

Actually I haven't been wearing this much. I realized I should have made the bodice longer for this style.
