Quite some time ago I was inspired by rosered's needlepoint nintendo ds case (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=127932.0) and since then have been wanting to make one. The only problem was that I don't have a ds. But recently my girlfriend got one and I made her a case for her birthday, using a pattern linked to in the original post, and adding her name on the back.

Then, my sister's boyfriend was very intrigued and asked me to make him an i-phone case with the Mario 1-up mushroom on it. So I did.

It's lined with felt and has an elastic closure with a snap.

And for myself I made a case for my Creative Zen mp3 player. Just as I was finishing it I realized I hadn't left a hole on the side for the power button and I ended up having to take it all apart and re-do most of it.

Making these became my procrastination method of choice when I should have been studying for my exams. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the comments!

I've really enjoyed making these. I love the mix of old-world craft with new technology. I've had a couple people ask me to make them i-phone cases after seeing this one. So I may be spending my summer doing some more!
