Ruffle butt, Green Day, and buffalo check...not all in one!

Some shirts I reconstructed.  I'm not planning on wearing the ruffle butt one, it was just an idea I had, not really something I'd wear.    Simple spaghetti strap Green Day shirt, and the buffalo check one which is my favorite!  It was this big, boxy thing, it fits better than the photo suggests, I'm just too tired to take pics again.

What!!! I love the rufflebutt one. You shoudl wear it out at least ONCE. Maybe when you go out of town    It's too rad to be closeted forever

Gotta say, I agree with others, wear the ruffle butt! It's totally cute! I like the other ones too. I especially like the back straps/ collar combo on the buffalo check, it's interesting to look at. Good job!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!  It figures everyone likes the ruffle butt one!    I like it too but my hubby says it makes me look like I'm 13, lol.   I don't want to closet it either though so I'm thinking of altering it a little bit and sending it to my little sister, she could pull it off!

I love the idea of a ruffle butt top! It'd make a fabulous top for an evening gown two-piece. The other shirts are nice too, especially the construction on the back of the buffalo check one!

Wow!  I'm surprised at all the attention the ruffle butt shirt has garnered while I was away!  It was really simple to make.  I used a long sleeve mens shirt, cut off the sleeves, took in the sides and shortened the front.  Then I took the sleeves and the fabric from the sides when I took in the shirt and cut them in half lengthways (I also cut off the original seams).  Then I used those pieces and the parts from the front of the shirt to make the ruffles.  Of course that shirt was already nice and rounded in the back, I think that's how I got the idea in the first place!  It would look nice with contrasting fabric for the ruffles as well.  I'd love to see if someone else wants to make one!

They're all great, although the ruffle-butt one is definitely my favorite! You could even make a tunic/somewhat risque dress out of it by extending the ruffles to the front! I would totally wear it!

Must say that I agree with the legions of others - you rock the ruffles, girl!!  Hubbys are notoriously silly, not to mention out of touch with fashion, so I vote for disregarding his opinion on this matter.

PS, the others are cute too.  Don't want them to feel neglected!!!

Thanks you guys!  I promise I won't let the ruffle butt shirt languish away in a closet, but I'm not the person to wear it!  Most likely it'll go to my youngest sister, I still have to get around to shortening the back before I send it to her though.  I'm a few inches taller!
