I was able to get a TON of wine corks from my brother and a local wine bar, and started experimenting with them. the first things i made were pretty busted, but the more i make, the better i get. so after tons of wheatpaste-making, sewing, measuring, cardboard cutting, and most of all - cork slicing, here are some recent projects im proud of.

first up, some coasters ive made:

next, a small corkboard:

and finally, a corkboard for my roommate, in which every cork was critically analyzed before being selected. the frame was taken from someones trash and stained to compliment the ink on the corks.

and a close up of the corks:

thanks for looking, i definitely appreciate all comments!

Excellent.  Your coasters are very cool, and the corkboards are fabulous.  Great job.

I keep trying to convince my son to let me make a cork board out of the corks his grandmother sent him.

I made wine cork Christmas trees using styrofoam cones as the base and glueing the corks on with my hot glue gun.  I fashioned a star for the top of the tree, from a wire coat hanger.  Our wine drinking friends were quite "smitten" with the cork tree. Shocked
