I went through my stash today and found some great fibre for my partner.

I also worked out what to send for the crafted items. I'm planning on sending several small crafted items rather than a medium. Is that ok?

i just carded 8oz of cleaned wool in an hour and a half with my hand cards.
oof are my hands sore!

1st carding experience was great though!

sitting on my deck on a sun chair next to a huge, fluffy cloud of wooly rolags, watching law and order and midnight is my idea of a party.

also, any of you hand-carders have epic pectoral muscles? I sense being super ripped by the end of the summer.

LO I'm into that kind of party too!  And I'm also looking forward to the 'epic pecs" by the end of summer too LOL.  Are you going to dye the rolags, or the yarn? or are you leaving it natural?

Twiz, congrats on your first multicolored yarn! I'm having a blast dying roving- can't wait to give yarn a try.  Smiley

Does anyone know of a good tutorial for kool aide dying?

(partner, don't get nervous, this isn't for you!)

Oh, and could one of you hand-carders post a picture of (a singular) something you have hand carded?  I want to know if I am doing it right.

CamOovas, I'll go card something so I can do that for you Smiley

okay there we go.  on the left is a rolled rolag (or cigar as I've seen it called)  On the right is straight off the hand cards.   the fiber is going in the same direction on both.

i may not be the best carder, but hey. I try Wink
