Ok, so this is my very first post to Craftster... I've been lurking for almost 2 years now, but thought it was time to finally show some of my work!

I present you the Galaga Slip-ons!!

It was made for a class where we should make (or alter) a product inspired by an old videogame... My friend gave me the Galaga idea...
I used fabric paint, and made a grid as a guide (just love pixel stuff!).

Below there's a making of compilation...^^

I hope you guys like it!

That's amazing! What kinds of paints do you use to re-con shoes?

Thanks!
It's regular fabric paint (we only have one type here in Brazil...). I just put some tape over the parts I didn't want painted and freehanded...

Those are amazing! Wow, it seems so labor intensive and you did such a neat job! I must have those shoes o_0 Are they pretty water proof would you say? It's really rainy and wet most of the year here so I'm wary of doing stuff with my shoes but these are too cool to pass up!

Well, I believe they're waterproof... I didn't test or anything (actually I gave them to my sister - cause they're not my size - and she never wore them... Cry), so I can't say that for sure.

And thank you all for such lovely comments... Grin

Awesome shoes, this is my first post but my fiancee posts here and I lurk constantly. I love anything that has to do with gaming and these are just great.
