I've got 4 skeins of Lion Brand Chunky USA (2 dark purple and 2 light purple). Each skein is 155 yds/113 g. I've been looking online everywhere for a baby blanket to make with this material and to no avail, most projects need a lot more yarn than I have (I'm trying to avoid purchasing more yarn!), or have the same project (which is a diagonal blanket with a YO border--which I have already made multiple times). I'd like something more fancy than straight knit stitch if possible, but I am getting pretty desperate for ideas! LOL Anyone know of a really good pattern to use up this yarn on that isn't too difficult? I really appreciate it.  Smiley

This one is from the Lionbrand website http://cache.lionbrand.com/printablePatterns/kjif-bobbleBlanket.pdf

How about a blanket meant for the baby to cuddle with rather than one to be wrapped in? It could be about the size of a large-ish (square) dish towel, worked diagonally, with a stuffy at the last end (a bunny's, bear's, or monkey's head). The body of the blanket can be worked using the basic stitch pattern you mentioned, or something more detailed. Anything you want, really. The pattern can be easily modified to suit your needs/style/preferences. I've never made one of these, but they can be quite nice.

Here's an example from lion brand (not the best I've seen): http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60635.html.

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley
