After spending tons of money buying martingale collars for my borzoi I finally decided to make my own. I've made several already by taking apart and old one I had, and using it as a template for the new one. I think the hardest part was getting the bulk under the machine and stitching next to the hardware even with my zipperfoot.

These are two I made for my friends borzoi, Boris and Natasha!

It's a dog breed. Smiley These are really pretty! And I love the names Boris and Natasha... lol. Do they chase after many squirrels? Tongue

Another name for borzoi is a russian wolfhound. And yes, they chase squirrels, cats, and anything else that moves!

I have 2 Italian Greyhounds, and would love to be able to make my own collars for them, I just dont think I could trust them to stay together!!  Even though we rarely go for actual walks, they use the yard everyday.
But I love the look of a great collar!!

I love the fabric, they both look great!!

So pretty! Fitting collars for borzois, those are gorgeous dogs! Did you find a pattern online or make your own? I have a couple narrow-headed-and-wide-necked canine friends (including a former foster) who use martingale collars, and I've wanted to make some for gifts, but I've had a hard time finding patterns.

They look fabulous! Do you have pictures of your dog wearing them? I'm very curious.

Heres a few of the other collars I've made. One is a sushi print, and the other a blue stripe. They're actually due for some new collars and a bath.

I was also not able to find much of a tutorial online, so I took apart a collar that I already had and used it as a pattern and put it back together with new fabric.
