this is too sweet!  It is perfect and yes your daughter is an adorable ham.  Have you tried tracing the pattern pieces in a thin line of fray-check before cutting it out?  i had such a hard time with brocade and thats what i finally settled on. (after melting it a bit much.)

I would've never thought of that!  If I ever feel like dealing with brocade again....LOL I just might try this!

Thanks everyone!

beautiful!! You do such a nice job making the dresses and things and she does a wonderful job showing them off!!!!

I really love the picture of the hem of this dress.  I love the tights that are not quite pulled all the way up, that is what little girls are made of!  aaahhh memories of childhood, I love tights!  I love little girls in tights!

She is sooo cute and the dress is more than just fine its fabulous and Nyla looks stunning white tights and all. I actually think they look nice and little girly, lol.

I love the shape of the dress and how it falls. Gorgeous.

holy moly your daughter is adorable!  and the dress is awesome too.  i want to make myself one - i'm guessing this pattern isn't in adult sizes too, though.  i had a chinese-style dress like this when i was in middle school and loved it - if anyone knows a pattern like this for adults, let me know!

I see these beautiful oriental fabrics at Walmart all the time, and wonder what I could make with them. That dress is gorgeous! You did a great job. It looks very professional.
