I'm in love with Michael Miller's Lava Flowers line...which is darn near impossible to find. Sorry for all you non-fabric fiends that might be over here on this board, but it's my inspiration for these pieces!

The cup and saucer were from The Cellar for Macy's dinnerware line in Casper.

I really like how this turned out. I did this for a gift for a friend but I don't know if I can give it away. I'm going to make another gift hopefully even better than this  to give to her instead. Smiley I know she's a lurker, so I hope she doesn't mind. Wink

Thanks for looking!

Are these usable!?!  As in microwave-able, dishwasher-able, and eat-off-able!?!  Cuz if they are I need to know how you did it, and I will be making myself some new dishes soon.  very soon...

yes to all of the above. I don't reccomend microwave Or dishwasher tho. I have a mug I use daily that I do both with but the decoration is on the outside so it doesn't get scraped off when heated up or anything. Rule of thumb is keep the decoration away from where food should go to keep it in tact longer.

I used pebeo porcelaine markers and paint.

hehe, no problem!

Some people on this forum think that the paint is not safe, but I did research and it's only not safe if it scrapes off and you ingest it (like teflon on pans).  I'm thinking if you stick to rule of thumb and keep it away from where food is served (outside of cups) or on ONLY special pieces you use every once in a while and handwash, you should be fine. Probably don't let children use it just to be on the safe side since a little bit of something to an adult is fine, but probably not good for a little person. Smiley

sure!  Just send me the request in an e-mail so I remember to do it. I was going to hit up wal-mart and get some big white mugs.
