Origami Earrings

Hello everyone,

I have become really fascinated with modular origami lately, and have been experimenting with how small I can go with the paper before the inevitable frustration becomes unbearable for impatient me.
While the pieces I used for these earrings are not the smallest ones I made, they are still some of the more interesting looking ones and the ones that I thought lend themselves most to jewelry making.

I know this has been done by others many times before, but this is my first time trying myself at jewelry making, and I am quite happy with how they turned out.

I am thinking about selling them - do you think people might buy these/stuff similar to these?

OMG, Awesome!

I was digging through my garage about a week ago and found a book about origami. Then I went to michaels and spent like $10 on paper. After that I spent days making billions of origami structures. Why didn't I think of jewelry!!!

I actually make and sell them at fairs during the summer.  Last year at an art festival I made and sold around 20 pair at $10 each.  I've never done the modular origami, I do cranes, fireflies, penguins, and seahorses.  What do you finish yours with to harden them?  I use regular spray lacquer from home depot so that the paper is a little more water resistant.  I does darken the paper a tad though.

I saw some origami crane earrings at our botanical garden's Japanese festival this summer and they really blew me away.  The effect is totally impressive.  Nice job!
