Call it too stinkin' cute, lol.  I love the colors.  It just looks like a knit peasant cross top to me.

Your daughter has me giggling every time I see her. What a funny little model she is! Your shirt looks super comfy and I'm going to go check out the tute, as I am scared to death of knits. Any tips for that?  Wink

I'm with you, Birdie Says, I'm absolutely PETRIFIED of knits.  I keep picking up old tees to reconstruct, however, hoping to motivate myself to give them a try.  Thanks, Vegbee, for another cute idea that's pushing me toward those knits.  Maybe today...   Huh

Thanks all!

Don't be scared of knits!  They are actually quite friendly to sew, if you've got yourself set up properly.  Your needle should be a round tip, first of all.  If you stretch the knits very gently while sewing and then steam the seams (don't press, and don't rub!) then they all snap nicely into place.  And of course knits have the biggest cheater hems: lettuce edging. It also helps a lot if you have a serger.  I have praised the differencial feed on more than one occasion.

A couple questions, please...

Is a differential feed how you get a lettuce edge? How do you set it up? I think I've used it only to makes gathered strips...

Is that a grasshopper hat on your sweet munchkin?

Thanks!

Oh, I love crossover tops!  I'd really like to try this but make it into an empire waisted dress for my chickadee.

Looks great, Vegbee!
