For a friends birthday I made this amazing cake. It was a huge hit to say the least Smiley Pics are below the recipe

Tequila Rose Cake

1 Box Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
1 Can Strawberry Pie Filling
1 Small Tub of Cool Whip
1 Package Fresh Strawberries
1 Container Meltable Chocolate
Tequila Rose (as much as you'd like, hehe)

Use 2 - 8" pans to bake the cake as directed on the box. Let them cool. While they are cooling, squeeze all the pie filling through a fine strainer. Seperate the liquid and the strawberry mash. Mix a bit of Tequila rose into the mash or drizzle some over the cooled cakes and let soak. Place one cake on a serving plate, then top with the Strawberry mash. Put the other cake on top. Mix the liquid from the pie filling into the Cool Whip, use this mixture to "frost" the cake. *I did a light coat of regular Cool Whip then froze it to act as a crumb coat, it worked great* Cut up strawberries and decorate the cake however you see fit. I also mixed a shot of Tequila Rose in with the chocolate while I melted it. I drizzled the chocolate over the cake and dipped a few strawberries in Smiley YUMMY!!!!

Too bad I cant get any of the ingredients besides tequila, chocolate and strawberries, it would be a super cake for one of my friends as well!

But I guess I can just give her the liquor, berries and choc haha... Roll Eyes

That looks very very tasty. I might have to make it and bring it to work and pretend like all the alcohol will make everyone sloppy drunk scare everyone since we work with industrial sewing machines. lol

This sounds and looks great!  I bet it was delicious!  I haven't had Tequila Rose in such a long time and never would have thought to use it in a dessert!  Nice job on the presentation, too!
