Once upon a time, I found a three-pack of these really big matchboxes. They spoke to my crafting soul, and I promised them "I shall buy you and I shall recon you and I shall call you George and love you forever".

To make a long story short, those matchboxes remained un-reconed and sad in a corner of a drawer for four months. Until my inchie addiction came and gave them a new life!

And so, a home for my beloved inchies was born! And look how roomy it is, there are 25 inchies in there and it could easily fit 3-4 times that!

What she said. It's an excellent guide with great links that will lead you straight to addiction. Go forth and be enlightened.

Me too! I kept them in a little envelope until I gave them their new home. Not practical at all Sad

I love it! That inspired me to dig around my junk and see what I could find. A altoids tin would work good as well I think. Great idea!

I think the box looks really great. It's so pretty but still somehow plain enough for a storage box. I believe if you see that box standing somewhere you already know there are some great artistic things inside.  Smiley

Put them in this box! Or you could frame them, or put them in an album like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303871.0
Or put them on cards, or make them into magnets.

This makes a box of matches much more interesting.  Loved the design on the front and the colours you have used, plus use of buttons.

Hehe, exactly! Or you can use them in all kinds of paper crafts, like ATCs and scrapbooking, you can decorate things, you can swap them... Personally, I make them mostly for the heck of it, because they're so addictive and relaxing!

I don't fit in a box, round hole, or any slot that you want to put me in. I am unique, intelligent, funny, passionate, beautiful, spirited and kind. I'm a lover, not a fighter, but will fight when pushed too far. I'm a puzzle it might take you years to figure out, if you can. I am an enigma.

That's brilliant! I always hate to throw out any box that seems sturdy; now I don't have to.

Inchies, rinchies, ATCs; they can ALL have a special home!

Why are things like this always called George?

Now the randomness is over with . . . .

What a great idea for Inchie storage - I think I might just need to go on a suitable box hunt Smiley

I adore this idea. Your inchie housing is gorgeous.

I've been thinking of putting my inchies in frames, but I don't have enough made yet for that project so I've been storing them in plastic baggies. This is such a better idea! And I could dress up the outsides of the boxes to match my inchie themes!

I store my inchies in the little plastic boxes bought at the dollar store that usually holds embroidery floss that are put on little cards.  Usually I put them in there if I have made a background sheet and cut it up but have not finished the inchie.  Finished ones go in an album until I find a use for them.  I love to put little quilled flowers on my inchies too.

I need to post more so that I can upload my pictures of inchies or find my pictures to link them.  I love working in miniature and so happy to find inchie threads.
