i haven't read all the comments, so maybe someone already mentioned that:
you could attach the cord wrap to the handle of the bag to keep everything together. maybe using a small carabiner or velcro or something

This is a FANTASTIC tute, LOVE it!!  I'm definitely making one for my daughter - and the vinyl on the DS is a great idea too - she'll love it!!

I'm going to make one soon and I'll post it when it's ready.    Off to go through my fat quarters!!

I have now made 3 of these and know that I will need to make 4 more.  They work up nicely and the girls love them, hence making more!

Thank you Laura, I'm glad the pattern is working well for you.  I still am not happy with the game pockets, but I haven't had enough reason to redesign since my kids don't hardly use their DS's anymore, so I've moved on to making iPod cases, lol!

I just made a DS case and it is one of the favortie things i have ever made in my life, it looks so good!!!
I did not do straps, I wanted it hand held
I am thinking of making a couple mods and making some wallets!!

Lil Ms. S that is beautiful!  I love it, you did a fantastic job!  It's been so long since I made this, but my daughter is still using hers.  She doesn't use it very often because she has an iPod now, but once in a while...

thank you, it was fun!
yeah she does not use hers much either due to the itouch also, but that recently got a smashed screen (she has a case now) and her DS gets lost a lot so I went ahead and made it.  she loves it!
