Hello Crafty Persons,

I would like to introduce Caressa. She is named after a friend of my nephew's who used to come to visit when he was with me. I had already started with this torso, I had made two different adaptations to ghilies pattern for a girly figure.

This attempt came out better than planned, and was simpler in my mind anyway than the Eleanor. The other pattern I came up with actually worked better, but that was just freehanded, size is about 25% bigger than a poppet, and she is sewn out of a bright plaid material that I was experimenting with.

Without further ado, meet Caressa (regular size girl)

She is the white alova suede that sugarysweet sent me, family dollar hair and pink eyelash yarn for the pink streaks.

Her dress is stretch velour, black lined with more eyelash yarn. This was a drape and hand sew project.

Here is the side view of the dress.

Caressa has a flower tattoo on her chest to cover a burn injury she received. She actually has great legs and arms, but wasn't joined tight enough, and she is one hippy girl. She looks much better in person.

And she also wanted a tattoo on her rear.

As her torso was a prototype, she was not born with a tail.

Hope you all enjoy.

Girly Poppet

I have the pdf full size but had to make an image, so it is 100% but I don't know how well it will print. Let me know. This is so simple to sew, and as soon as I do the other one, I will post it. It is a little more effort, but more realistic and no torpedoes. Hence the suggested alteration.

A little needle sculpting was added here and there to get them to pull down a little.

Good luck "girls"

Wouldn't you know that I am looking at that book as I type this and I was just going to try to make a torso like that! Great minds think alike!

I love that dress and the back of the ears.

I've had this book around for over a year, and just started my first armature doll, taking a lot of twists and turns, but the way Susanna lays out the options makes you feel you can, so I am trying anyway. Lots of inspiration there.
