Ooh, and I just read that Scandinavian languages was wanted and well... Danish is like Swedish if you put something hot and sticky in you mouth (like porridge) and Norwegian is Swedish but with a slightly retarded and awfully cheery pronunciation  I can even offer Finnish, if I can drag it out of a friend of mine ^^

Yeah! Sugoi! (Japanese for great  ) I was as usual just checking if there are any interesting swaps...A language learner's swap, brilliant!!!  I'm a language freak, so I'll be sending my questionnaire shortly, can't wait!
I'm Dutch and a teacher of French, so I can offer both these languages. I'm actually learning Japanese and Italian and would love to learn Frisian too (saw there's someone here who speaks Frysk  ).

I looked last night and I also have a Latin book here. And really, I could fumble my way through any of the Romance languages as most of the nouns at least are extremely similar - which would add Portuguese and Romanian to my list as well. Neither of those are on the "want" list yet, but...

I would really like to learn a language that uses the Latin script since I have spent the last 10 years studying Chinese. I have had enough of characters! I can fudge my way through Latvian and French, but I am much stronger in Chinese.

I would really like to learn an obscure language, although any language would really be fine. Preferably something from Europe or Asia (Spanish, Dutch, German, Scandanavian languages...).

My mother's tongue is Hebrew (I was wondering who else speaks it as it was on the list..??) I speak English (as you have probably noticed LoL) and a tiny bit of German, what I call - kitchen German, my grandmother was born there and we always cook together in German, I'm really proud of myself, I can actually read a whole recipe! LoL!!

i hope it's ok to post this here, but just in case i get a partner whose wanted language isn't Spanish... while beginning to organize my office (it's scary in here after literally several years without organizing), i found many what i guess i would call ephemera, mostly in Spanish, mostly from Spain (along with a few local Hispanic items).  stuff like phone books, store advertisements, newspapers, etc... things that if i were to show them to the classes, i would do better going online with the projector on, and showing them some updated ones on the screen.  BUT these old items would be great for papercrafts needing some Peninsular/Latin flavor.  i think at home i also have a Mexican almanac or 2 from the 80s, so totally outdated as well.  but full of nice words and even some pictures.

so... if anyone could use some of these materials for this swap, or if you just want them in general, please PM me!  i would send stuff after i know who my partner is and whether their target language is Spanish (then i know what i have left)

I would love to join this swap...but I'm a native (American) English speaker, y solomente hablo un pocito del espanol.  And a handful of words from a handful of other languages.  If only I'd studied language in college instead of music!
