International shipping can be expensive, but there are ways to help this.. I ship to Australia frequently and the best way if you are shipping a large package is to make use of the international flat rate boxes. If you keep weight in mind you can still make awesome stuff that your swap partner will be thrilled with! Since there is such a long crafting time it would be easier for international shippers to meet the deadline - thinking that they would need to send about 2 weeks early to get to most places.

Personally I would rather do the whole shebang than a mini swap. I love halloween and granted I have a ton of supplies already to craft with, but I would rather go big and craft awesome stuff for the full 13 days than split it up with people or only craft a few things. Just my 2 cents worth.

Well I'm in Canada too. . .  but you can always just ask in the questionnaire as usual "Are you willing to ship outside of your country?"  - but maybe even add a special note such as, "Keep in mind this could get heavy!" Or something like that. The 12 Days of Christmas always seemed to work out internationally.

I forgot to add you can ship up to 20lbs for $53.00 internationally, less cost to ship to Canada and Mexico. You can also get different size boxes - which equal different prices and weight allotments. You can see all the details on the USPS site.

I agree on not wanting to split this up into partners for crafting. I am sure you could do a mini swap and have sign ups be a little bit closer to Halloween and get good responses.

That's right, so people wanting to do smaller, less costly swaps will have a few options... and this swap could be left as is  Wink

I *think* there was a mini swap last year for the halloween too, and there are of course several other halloween swaps. This swap will NOT be a mini-swap though. This will be 91 total items! International worked just fine last time, this will be international again, as it seems that there are enough people spread about and ready to invest time and money that it won't be a problem.  sign ups to begin soon. Don't hesitate to ask anymore questions before they start!

Anyone else completely excited for this swap to start? I keep checking again and again to see if signups have started- even though I know she said they will start in June- its only going to get worse starting tomorrow when it is officially June. Cant wait!
