I need some help. Here's my idea I want to cut the back out of bottles so I can put little lights in there. Well to do this I need some info on glasscutting and glasscutters which I'm completly clueless on. I've done some looking for a handheld glass cutter but I don't know what kind I would need. I know with stained glass you don't really cut the glass completly, you put the cut into it and then break it. Would this work on bottles too? Huh Any help would be greatly appriciated!

to make a hole in a bottle you need a drill bit - ask at the hardware store and they will show you the right one and ask how to use it while you are tyhere.

See if you can find a "diamond" drill bit- it has little diamond chips embedded in it. It will drill through glass easier, and as long as you hold a wet sponge on it, it won't overheat & crack the glass. Try looking online for this.
