Woah, that's a weird coincidence, you making a reading pillow just a little bit before! I had actually started a pair of socks, my first pair, thinking I could finish them in three weeks. Cheesy Oh silly past self! Yeah, I was about halfway done with one sock when it was one week to the send date so I scrapped them for another time. So the reading pillow was a last minute inspiration, I saw one online and thought it looked like something you could put to use. Smiley I'm really glad you like it, thanks for the awesome package and thanks to our organizers for the wonderful swap!

I'm still getting the hang of knitting and purling, so I'm nowhere near the point of trying to do something insanely complicated like socks.  I can crochet cables, but haven't attempted it for knitting yet... I'm a wimp.  knit 1, purl 1 ... yep, about all I can handle at the moment. lol

I am taking a break from swaps for a while.  I am not accepting any personal swaps at this time until around Christmas time.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Haha, socks are generally my easy, no pattern project, except maybe a stitch chart I have to keep track of. Cheesy (Then again, pretty much the only projects I use patterns for are sweaters. I just can't be bothered most of the time, so logically I design everything myself and end up having to rip and tweak a billion times in the process. Tongue ) I love cables, but I lose charts and fail at counting rows. Lace kind of hurts my brain. Simple stranded colourwork, though? Bring it on. The chart is right there. Cheesy

I noticed Dukemanistan had said he had trouble capturing a picture of his burlesque candy dish's bottom.
I just happened to have a photo of the candy dish I send my partner, where the heart tattoo shows!

I received from jessvict a couple of days ago.  She sent me a lovely necklace and matching earrings set.  I love the black and green stones!
Thanks so much!!  I'll be wearing it to work on Monday!
