My first amigurumi

I just starting crocheting on Monday (or maybe Tuesday?) because I really wanted to try amigurumi. My sorority animal is the turtle so when I saw this pattern I had to give it a try. My sorority colors are pink and green so that is the story behind the colors. I screwed up a few things on the shell but I know what I did wrong so I can fix it for next time. Overall I think it is pretty cute for a first try

one of my first ami's was a very similar turtle. :] you did a GREAT job! ami is addicting and it seems my projects have gotten better and better with each one, so definitely keep stitchin'!

I'll be getting lots of practice though because I have a few requests from my family now. My biggest problem was just following the pattern. I kept missing little details. I also didn't know how to stitch decrease so I just made up a way. I can't wait to make another one.

I was going to learn how to crochet this summer for the sole purpose of making 14 of these turtles for community service "awards" from last semester! (In the end I'm going to just make sewed ones...)
