What do you do when your Chicky of Dishonour (read: Maid of Honour in a traditional wedding) decides she wants a very pale mint green satin dupion dress and then chooses a BLACK headpiece/hairband/fascinator thing?

PANIC!!

And then grab all of your crafty mojo and go to town trying to pull it all together!

I present...

Sarah's dress before hemming.

And her accessories...

Corsage pin.

Earrings.

Bracelet.

Necklace with bracelet.

Comments welcome! Smiley

Life is too short to wear boring clothes.

I think it's fine, as long as it goes well with your attire and jewelery.  But in the same sense, you can wear whatever you want and it wouldn't have to match the other bridesmaids and/or maid of honor.  I would let her wear what she wants b/c do you really need more stress of her being angry because she has to wear something that she doesn't like all because you wanted something different?  I would rather my bridesmaids be happy and be able to share the day with me.  I think her dress and accessories is very elegant and will look nice on her.  Grin

LOVE the dress!  I would wear that in white as a wedding dress, maybe make it a smidge longer.

I wouldn't have chosen the black accessories with it (I like them as stand alone pieces) but if you're happy with it no problem.

That's really pretty!  I love the dress and the jewelry, both.  And you're so nice, letting your maid of (dis)honor choose her OWN colors. . . most weddings I've been to or heard about have had the bride choosing colors for her bridesmaids, usually in the range of bright pink or teal Wink
