Have you been to Sew It Seams on Manchester near Lindbergh?  They specialize in apparel fabrics, have harder to find patterns from Jalie, Amy Butler, and others, plus all kinds of unusual notions.  The owner, Cindy, is really nice and helpful too.

I am so glad i am not the only person to notice this!! try the ben franklins in webster or south county across from St. Anthonys hospital. or try a needle point shop!!! hope this helps! Keep on stitching we are a dying breed!!!
