I embroidered this on a simple black dress from Old Navy. I wear that dress TOO darn much and I wanted to brighten it up a bit for the summer. This is a 5 inch tall tattoo for my dress. I drew it freehand with a white sewing pen. I practiced bullion knots for roses. They are all crooked. I suck at script embroidery LOL I have ironed on interfacing on the back to keep it all neat and tight. I hope it holds!

This is it for projects that have been completed in the past two weeks.

Have a great weekend!

This is great! I love it. I don't think I've seen a bullion knot  before, are they difficult to do? They look brilliant

You do good work. Sometimes it's difficult to get a design to look good on black; yours does.

Great job! I love all the textures. Great use of beads and sequins.

Great roses.  I know what a difficult stitch that is.  Very pretty!

Thanks for your kind words. Today I found 10 pieces of fabrics to try some needlework techniques. This includes two perfect aprons in thick cotton denim, one white and one black. You know the plain square aprons that men or wait staff wear. I am contemplating all the fun emboidery 'sublime style' I can do on these. All this stuff only cost 4$.
