The Scrap Exchange presents Swap-O-Rama Rama Saturday May 16th 11-4

You are invited to The Scrap Exchange's sixth Swap-O-Rama-Rama, a giant clothing swap for men, women, girls and boys, with multiple Trashion shows throughout the day. Also included are a series of do-it-yourself activity stations in which community members explore reuse and creativity through the recycling of used clothing.
Promoting creativity over consumerism!

Where: Durham Armory, 220 Foster Street, Durham, NC
When and Time: May 16th, Saturday 11am-4pm
Cost: Suggested donation of $10.00 and a bag of clothes, kids free

In case ya'll have never been... Swap-o-rama-rama is fabulous! Not only do you get to acquire all sorts of new clothes, but there are stations set up to alter your clothes on site. There will be sewing stations, painting stations and a screenprinting station with a bunch of cool screens.
I probably won't be there myself- my baby is due Monday and i'd hate to have my water break during one of the Trashion shows- but I wish I could go.

Sorry it took me so long to reply-- new baby, computer troubles, sleepiness.

The next Swap is in Raleigh:

September 5, 11am to 4pm
in the Zanzibar Room, Marbles Kids Museum

The first time my eyes saw this, they read...

Swap-o-bama rama!

Which woulda been hilarious!  Not meaning that I want to swap obama out or anything...just funny.
