I am so happy with this!  (look at my funny smug face in the photo!) It is based on Twinkle's 'Cable Shrug' from VK winter04.  I changed it quite a bit (the biggest change being that I'm wearing it back to front.) Check out the dropstitch detailing....

Just proud as a peacock!
Has anyone else tried this pattern?  I was going to do it as directed and would love to see how it knits up!

That's very cool!!! I love the drop stitch details and that you're wearing it backwards... it's like two different looks in one Smiley

Very cute!  And very original!

What's the yarn?  Do you think we might convince you to post a picture of it worn the other way around?

I'm trying to find a shrug pattern for a friend who is getting married in a sleeveless dress, and am curious to see how this one looks.

Morgan, you are soooo amazing! I love it! Even my husband said it was really neat! (And he could usually care less about anything having to do with knitting)

Thanks so much for the comments everybody!! ('spesh from Christine's sweet hubby. who cares if he's not so into knitting...the boy brings you lemons!! -when I read that on your blog I said awww out loud.)
Alas I would love to model it frontwise ( and with some better hair) but I don't have it with me right now.  All my FOs are in a big box being mailed to me.  The way I made it it has quite the mutton sleaves when it's on the front way and really needs the extra collar that's the final step of the pattern.  The yarn is homespun.

It's quite funky chunky so I don't know if it would go w/your friend's dress...but maybe the dress is that way too!  It would also be a cool contrast with smooth satin fabric so maybe!  Also the original was in white. Also the photo makes it look all monet-pixalated but it knits smoothly

Awwww, Morgan, shucks! I am you rbiggest fan though, your stuff is brilliant, amazing and avant garde!
FYI- I just paid 11.56 american for 3 months of 50 mb's on blog spirit, CHEAP!!!
You should either do that or just get a dot-com, it'd be soooo worth it. Then you can put ALL of your stuff on one site! I LOVE looking thru your stuff, if we lived closer, I'd be the friend that borrows everything from your wardrobe!
