I couldn't find a better place to put this, although it was a sewing project.  I made my sister-in-law, an avid knitter, a roll up case for her needles that could also be used for paintbrushes.  I left some big pockets in it so she can keep a bit of yarn, circular needles, scissors and patterns in it as well.  I tested it with a pair of scissors, quite a few pairs of needles, a yarn needle, cotton yarn and a pattern and it rolled up quite nice.

All filled up

With the top flap down so that things don't spill out if it's turned upside down.

All rolled up and ready to go!

I did start out using a tute from wikihow, but somehow the measurments were weird and so then I just did my own thing after the initial pieces were together.  I'm very happy with the outcome, now hopefully my sister-in-law likes it, too!
