Love aqua blue, lemon yellow, lipstick red, or minty green?

Do you have black-and-white tiles, a Felix Cat clock, or your grandmother's appliances?

Have a special soft spot for cherries, ginham, or vintage fabrics?

Did you spend a gallizion dollars on a Kitchenaid mixer just because it looks vintage, even though you never mix anything in it?

I do! I have a 50s theme going in my kitchen, and I know many of you do, too...whether it's because you love it, or because you can't replace your tile/cabinetry/appliances right now so you've had to embrace it!

Let's do a swap where we make things for each other's 50s-theme kitchens! Tea cozys, trivets, cross-stitches, cutlery holders, calendar boards, painted porcelain, curtains, aprons, oven mitts.....soooo many crafty ways to vamp up your kitschy kitchen!

My vote is to do this in June or July; I'd suggest doing 1 large, 2 small items as it could be difficult to craft a lot of medium/large things. Suggestions? Opinions? Preferences?

love the idea!  I would suggest maybe doing points instead of items.  Some people want lots of small things for their kitchens, and other want larges.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

I'd do this - esp if it's in June or July bc I'm all tied up right now.

So the next question is, do we have someone who'd want to lead this swap? Seems like a mid June sign up, late July sendout is preferable for people. Any takers to be the organizer?
