Eeeek!

...

I started with some plastic eggs. The type you get inside a chocolate egg.

Found some little eyes in my craft box (they were on sale so I bought them then did nothing with as they were so little)

I popped a couple of holes here and thar with the aul cropadile... and some wee scissors.

Then I twisted some left over wool (I'll tell you what that was for some day) and ribbon my partner's sister brought me for christmas, added a small amount of left over paint (yay for shed junk) stuck on some random bits of felt and...

Presto!

Notice the little smudge...As an old friend used to say 'It all adds to the effect!!'

I made some bat poi!
(here is poi for who didn't know, good stuff!)

So yeah they'll basically be flying about at the end of my fingers.

Here is what I used:

Plastic eggs
Wool
Felt
Little plastic eyes
Left over paint
Ribbons
Sand (to give the little guys some weight!)

Tools:

Cropadile (to make neat holes)
Wee scissors
Old paint brush
Les mains

Heh I fixed that link. Sorry about that. I posted it late last night in case I couldn't come online today but luckily here I am. ^^

Thanks a million for all the comments. Would have loved to use those coloured eggs but I just haven't seen many of those about here since I was a kid so I made do and painted some of those from easter as my partner had hidden lots of chocky eggs around my house! =)

That's funny. My partner said it looked like a pacman!  Grin

Oh and no one's missing anything with kinder eggs. They're generally rubbish. There is a better type from Spain I think (or Portugal?) but I can only buy those in Galway so I made do with kinder ones. All the toys were rubbish apart from a car and this cute sheep jumping over a fence!

Halloween... PSSSSH! My bats are out all year! =P

These are way too cute! I think I like them in this shape better than if they'd been made of regular Easter eggs. I'd love to see an action shot if you get one!

Am I the only person here whose first thought was that it was Kyu from Pet Shop of Horrors?

But we have flamethrowers. And what this indicates to me, it means that at some point, some person said to himself, "Gee, I sure would like to set those people on fire over there. But I'm way too far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them."

Two things:

1) A person who takes after me! - squeee. "they were on sale so I bought them then did nothing with as they were so little". My partner will be unhappy I have found out that OTHER people do this very thing. That is, buy stuff because it is on sale, even though it is not immediately usable.

2) Many thanks for the link to tell us what poi is. I use the word occasionally when doing crosswords or other word games. But either I didn't now what it meant or didn't remember.

A great use for these would be to hang them in a small tree out front of the house. For halloween spirit!
