WOW! this is amazing you did a wonderful job!!
I took a corset making class awhile ago, and they told me that in order to avoid the wrinkles on the silk, you lay the corset pannels on a rounded surface and stitch the silk to the coutil pieces before sewing them together.... not sure if this helps, but it was a good tip!!
Congratulations!

It's made out of cotton twill, so I'm not sure that would work. I think the problem is that on the tree corset I clipped the curves, because that's what the directions on my corset pattern said. (Note: I didn't use the pattern, but I did reference the construction methods...)

On the other two corsets, I didn't clip the curves, and there wasn't any wrinkling.

These are stunning!  Even more amazing when I scrolled down and saw you did Marine Biology!!  I do a Costume degree and these, the Wood dress especially, could easily fit in with our third years' graduation pieces.  Well done on getting the diagonal zipper to work too.

that vestet on moon is HOT!!  Like smoking HOT!    I LOVE the diagonal zipper on moon(was that it?  the shiny silver one)  I can't believe they told you it wouldn't work!!  I couldn't see as why it wouldn't.  it obviously did.  They told me in design school that a zipper down the leg of the pants wouldn't work either, but lo and behold, it sure did, and it looked stunning!  Just like your diagonal zipper in that dress.   You do amazing work.  Tree looks wonderful.    Gratz!  keep it up!

Hell yeah!

When I saw "QFS" in the title, I figured that other colleges must have a Queer Fashion Show too because I go to UCSC and love this event every year! But this was an even cooler surprise. High five for banana slugs on craftster! :]

I loved the QFS! I regret that I only had time to go once during my two years at UCSC, but my sister and I had a blast!

These are amazing dresses. Good themes are hard to come by, and this was truly inspired! The designs are jaw-dropping; you have such talent!
