I have cut out all of my fabric for my friend's baby quilt but I am not too sure about one of my fabric choices.  So I wanted to post it here and get some opinions.  I laid out part of the pattern on my desk.

The first picture is truest in color but I found my papers distracting so I took another.  (I have to keep them labeled because I have aprox. 40 different sized pieces that all fit like a puzzle.)

With the paper on the back:

I don't really want to say which fabric I am unsure about.  That way I can get some unbiased opinions.  Thanks so much for taking the time to post an opinion!

The flowery circles kind of jump out at me (2nd over, 2nd from the bottom.) I like the fabric, but it's a little more bright than the rest of the pieces. I think it can work as long as you have it evenly spaced throughout the quilt, though.
I really love that top right fabric.

I think they look good. If I had to (and like I said I think they look good so it would be HAVE TO) pick something to leave out it would be the small coordinate to the large flowers that is in the top right corner or the brown. My guess is the small coordinate looks better in person but it seems kind of washed out in the picture. The brown looks pretty dark and solid - if it is a solid I would leave it out (or better yet find a tonal print in that brown that fits in) but I think I can see a hint of a print on it.

As long as you can make sure neither of those ends up cluster in one area I think it will be an awesome quilt.

I thought that they all looked good together until elijor mentioned the brown fabric. I see that it's a print of some sort but my eyes read it as the tabletop, not fabric. I think it's too dark. Fabric looks different in person so it's good that you get to make the final decision, not us  Smiley  I love the rest of it--it will make a beautiful quilt.

The brown kinda jumped out at me...actually it disapeared, I thought there was a gap where there wasn't a fabric. Maybe a slightly lighter tan/brown or something with a little white in it??

I agree---the tan and brown sort of disappear to me (the dark brown more so than the tan).

I love the other prints though.

Aw crap.  Now I am even more unsure.  I guess this is what I get for asking other people's opinions.  I laid out the entire quilt on my floor and took another picture.  Here it is:

None of the fabrics are solid.  I have a hard time using solids.  The dark brown has little polka dots of various different colors on it.  It wasn't my original problem but now I am leaning towards not liking the dark brown either.  Thankfully it's only a FQ if I decide to replace it.
However, I spent an hour yesterday at the fabric store trying to pick out one more fabric for this quilt.  I came home with the tan polka dots, but I don't know if I can find another to replace the dark brown.  I felt like nothing else there went with my fabrics.
Here is one more pic, this time without the brown...

So looking at the whole quilt, are there any other opinions?  Or are you sticking with your original one?

Looking at the whole quilt, I like it just the way it is. Honestly.

I'll stick with my original opinion. I think it's better without the brown. Whatever you do, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.
