Here's how to make a Tribal Easter Egg Necklace!

Supplies:
Several Easter Eggs of various colors
Very sharp scissors
Crop-A-Dile (for punching holes)
Jump rings
Two sets of Needle nosed pliars
Chain
Necklace clasp

1. Use your sharp scissors to cut the top, more pointy section of the egg in to 12 wedges.
2. Use your sharp scissors to round the top of the wedges, so they are shaped kind of like teeth.
3. Punch holes in the top of each wedge using your Crop-A-Dile.
4. Cut the chain the length you would like your necklace to be.
5. Attach necklace clasp to one end of the chain and a jump ring to the other end.
6. Use jump rings to attach the Easter egg "teeth" down the length of the chain.

Voila, a nifty necklace. Entertain yourself by asking people to identify what the 'teeth' are made of!

Variation: Paint the teeth with gesso and then glow in the dark paint, and stamp it with a skull stamp using Stazon ink. I was going to do this with a stamp I hand carved, but I'm not really a jewelry kind of girl, and in the five minutes it took to take the above pictures above I was already annoyed with it. But feel free to try!  Kiss

That is amazing! So pretty, earrings would look good with that too.

You wouldn't even know they were eggs at one time. Awesome colour picks too, go together really well. How did you see them becoming a necklace, if I can ask? (I'm really interested in how people get inspired to do the awesome things they do)

I am very impressed with this. If someone had told me that they were going to make this I would expect it to end up with some-what tacky results, but you did a great job! I am pleasantly surprised with the results!! Great idea!

That is so cool!  I never would have thought they were plastic eggs.  Very creative!

Thank you all for your comments. I actually did make earrings to go with it...they were just one tooth hanging down. I forgot to wear them in the picture.

I was just trying to figure out what to do with an easter egg. I tried heating it (it wouldn't melt) and cutting it with wire cutters (wouldn't cut, either). I had some really sharp scissors there, so I started cutting the top into different shapes. It was trial and error more than inspiration!

Oh, and I don't mind anyone copying the idea at all. Feel free!
