Hey Everyone,
There was a post a little while back.. 10 pages long now though so I figured I would start a new thread.. but here is a link to the original post:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=293661.0

These are my coffee filter roses.. in full bloom.. played a bit of mother nature and make my own colors.. why not right?..

They are about 5-6" in diameter..

Let me know what you think!..

** Adding 5/13
Here is a few pictures of some new barrettes I'm working on.. what do you think of it?.. Working on more colors.. but this is a start.. the flower is wrapped into the bar clasp barrette.. I like the small type 2 1/4 inch.. you can clip them anywhere and not have to use them as the larger type barrettes in the back of the hair..
I wrapped it with some pale green gemstones.. with a salmon colored 4" diameter flower...
Like?..

Love!  Those look so great.  How long did they take?  I've really been thinking about making the flowers for my wedding, but I'm afraid I'll really regret that decision once I get started.

Depends on how good you are at working with it all.. I like to make a bunch at a time.. and can make them in probably less than 15 minutes, then painting them.. and curling the petals.. adds in more time.. I think they would be great for a wedding.. You either would love making them or have no interest in doing it.. I love making them.. a little therapy to keep me sane when the kids are off the walls!.. Some people like the roses fully bloomed like these are.. some like them more like you'd get in the store, tighter together.. so you would need more flowers for a bouquet.. but it totally opens up the possibility for colors to go with your wedding colors.. My flowers have about 50 petals to them.. you can make more or less.. larger or smaller petals..
If you need help let me know!..
