What an awesome idea for upcycling!  Looks like it gets the Orange Cat Seal of Approval, too.

I am mighty impressed with your alignment skills! All the strips are directly inline! You WIN!

OHHHHHH super duper cute, even if you are supporting super evil WalMart Sad I love the colors and how nice it looks with your sheets. I actually am planning on doing a similar project, but for a picnic blanket. I have never dealt with anything so large before, is it hard to work your sewing machine when you have so much fabric to the right of the needle?HuhHuh

Thanks

Aw man! I'm not really a fan of pink but the stripes make it so hard to not love Smiley It's too cute! I want to try it now.

i hate walmart too, but sometimes it's where you just end up. particularly since fabricland here closed and it's hard to get cute plus size stuff in this town. but alas. finding those scarves was definitely serendipitous.

i sewed them together so there'd never be fabric on my right, it was always on the left. i didn't pin as i sewed either, which shows, but i used a med-zig zag and it was a bit arduous because the fabric has a lot of weight to it. hope that helps!

yea, that totally makes sense Smiley LOL once I read what you wrote I was like "DOH" sooooo obvious! LOL

Gah yea it must be hard to live in a town without a big fabric store, I have two small indi fabric stores very close to where I live and a JA about 20 min away...sooooo for sure I feel very lucky in the fabric store area of life.

Yeah, I agree about Wal-mart, but the blanket is definitely a hit.  Nice job.
