Well, when we go egg hunting, we try to find them all, but usually there are a few that end up not being found somehow that seem to just dissappear (kinda like that one sock that goes missing in the wash type of thing).
Anyway, I told my little girl that while we try to find all the eggs, if we dont, that they still get put to use....the Fairies find them and use them for their babies.
So, to go along with my story for her, this is what I made for her.

Lately, we have had a good amount of rain, and last night it was really tough outside...so we were walking thru the house and what did I see?
A little Mommy Fairy hiding in a house plant looking at me!

She wanted to let me see what she did with one of the eggs we did not find, I asked her if I could hold her and she said she didnt mind...

But being a protective mommy, she let us only have a quick look, before turning her back with a fluttering swoop.

At this point, I put her back in her hiding spot, so she would feel happy and safe....
Now we know where the eggs go that dissappear from our place! Cheesy

My kiddo is thrilled with her fairy and wee one figurine and it was fun to make.
Used one egg, painted with acrylic and fairy dust (glitter), mommy fairy and babe are hand sculpted polymer clay, painted with acrylics, fairy dust, with hair of eyelash yarn and wings of organza.
Here is a pic of them in the oven during one of the bakings....kiddo didnt see me making them so she was quite surprised.

I dont know if this has been done before here or elsewhere or not, but its just a fun story i tell my little one and decided it would make a good/fun idea for an entry and for her shelf.

Thank you Smiley  It was fun to make and see my little one's eyes light up when she had a fairy to look at to go along with the story.

Poyupop~ Thanks  Smiley
I made the wings out of some irridescent (sp? lol) organza that I had on hand and some wire to cinch them at the center and then glued them into her back by inserting the small wire into a hole I premade into her back before baking.

I think that is just stunning, and thanks for letting me know that the shiny netted stuff I have is 'organza'. LOL

Lovely story as well, and love the photography.
